Published sites and the coming winter
The city lists 24 established neighbourhood locations and three additions for 2026-27: Eden Oak, Greengable and Tremaine. The complete 27-site list below keeps those additions distinct. A proposed or listed rink is not confirmation of an open ice surface in October.
Subscribe to the outdoor-activities news feed for opening notices. A park entrance or school address identifies the site; it is not a declaration that the entire grounds are maintained as a skating surface.

Volunteer roles and reliable updates
Outdoor neighbourhood rinks are prepared, operated and maintained jointly by volunteers and city staff. Each needs a Rink Coordinator who acts as the lead volunteer and main contact, with General Volunteers supporting seasonal operations.
Use the city’s separate coordinator or general-volunteer application. Existing experience is welcomed, but the city also invites people interested in learning. This guide covers the published neighbourhood program, not every artificial rink or private skating surface in Kitchener.
